A fixed slot for priorities that bring in money

“Der Weg des Geldes” (The Path of Money) is now available from Peak Atlas as a regular live webinar. Every Tuesday at 11 a.m. German time, the focus is on which activities make a meaningful contribution to the next incoming payment and how concrete priorities can be derived from that.

The format is aimed at business owners, freelancers and managers who have to choose every day between ongoing projects, open proposals, existing customers and new business development.

Four areas for sorting priorities

The approach looks at four areas: Collect, Close, Expand and Refill. Collect is about money the business is already entitled to. Close concerns ongoing sales opportunities. Expand looks at additional, well-matched services for existing customers. Refill generates new demand and a sustainable pipeline.

This breakdown is meant to help classify tasks correctly first. It then becomes possible to check which action within an area moves things forward in a specific case.

Useful preparation

Anyone who wants to apply the content to their own business can pick two or three current cases in advance: for example, an unpaid invoice, a pending proposal or an opportunity with an existing customer.

It helps to know the amount involved, the history so far, a realistic assessment of the chance of payment and the effort required for the next step. Add to that the question of whether there is a real window of opportunity. This turns a general prioritization question into a concrete trade-off.
